The event has been organised by Concern India Foundation, a nonprofit charitable trust. Children in the age group of 12 to 19 years will participate in the run and cover a distance of 2 to 6 km (depending on their age) from Cricket Club of India to Mafatlal bath on Marine Drive.

Schoolchildren will be encouraged to raise pledges from their friends and family towards the cause.

“This is our way of giving youngsters from a cross section of society the platform to run together in a spirit of goodwill for a cause,” said Kavita Shah, chief executive officer, Concern India Foundation.
