Students to take out protest march

SOME STUDENTS’ organisations are all set to protest against the proposed visit of Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav in Varanasi on Saturday.

Activists of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Brigade will take out a ‘Pradesh sarkar jawab do’ march to “expose” the false promises of Mulayam Singh Yadav to provide unemployment allowances to the unemployed youths.

Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Brigade State president Virendra Pratap Yadav alleged that Mulayam Singh had cheated the youths on the issue of unemployment allowances.

“We are not going to forgive the CM for his false promises,” he said.

He further that their organization, along with other the All India Students’ Association, Inqualabi Naujawan Sabha and Dr Ambedkar Vidyarthi Parishad, will take out the march on Saturday from Cantt area to Beniabagh.

Mulayam Singh will unveil the statue of socialist leader Raj Narayan at Beniabagh.

He said they would launch a massive fortnight-long Chhatra-Yuva-Mazdoor-Kisan Ekta Rally from January 1 in Varanasi to protest against the policies of the State Government.

“Later, we will march towards Lucknow to expose the misrule of Mulayam’s regime in the State,” he added.

Vijay Pratap Bharti, Vinod Kumar, Prashant Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Shivratan, Nandlal and Ravi Pandey were also present on the occasion.
