The State Government on Wednesday appointed a study group on security preparedness of Mumbai and other cities of the State in the wake of terrorist attacks.

The study group will include retired defence and police personnel and it is expected to recommend the measures the government should take to improve the security of major cities of Mahasrashtra.

City police commissioner AN Roy will be the convenor while retired lieutenant general DP Shekatkar and former Mumbai police commissioners Ronny Mendonca, SK Bapat, Satish Sahani, MN Singh and AS Samra will be the members of the group which is supposed to submit its report in three months.
