The number of incomplete results in the varsity has been reduced to a record low of 0.2 per cent as compared to previous years when it ranged between 10 and 15 per cent.

Since the time of attaining the central status on July 14, 2005 the AU authorities have been earnestly working to bring about the much needed changes in the functioning of the varsity.

The implementation of new policies in the varsity has now started yielding results. The examinations have been conducted smoothly and the results of all three years of BCom and BSc have already been declared besides BA part I and III. The only result pending is that of BA-II which is likely to be declared by June 30. Most of the post-graduate results have also been declared and the remaining would be declared very soon.

AU Examination Controller Prof HS Upadhyay informed that the varsity undertook the task of conducting examination of around 90,000 students every year. The varsity did preparation in advance to rule out discrepancies in the conduct of examination and developed resources in the meantime. AU Vice-Chancellor Prof RG Harshe issued directives during the Examination Committee meeting to accomplish the evaluation of answer-sheets within the stipulated time in order to avert delay in declaration of results.

He said the students were informed in advance about the seating arrangements and for the first time the results are available on the internet subject-wise.

"The new examination system well equipped with information technology tools has brought desirable results and the sincere efforts of confidential department and computer centre officials and employees helped in accomplishing the task on time", he added.
