First, the abuse of a six-year-old by the driver and conductor of a reputed school in Vasundhara in September and now the alleged molestation of two three-and-a-half years old pre-nursery students by the caretaker in Indirapuram — parents are a worried lot in Ghaziabad.
For the parents of the child who was assaulted in Vasundhara, the latest incident only brought back the trauma they were struggling to get over.
Expressing shock over the incident, the girl’s father said the school officials must support the parents and let the police do the investigation.
“We can understand what the victim’s parents go through after such shameful acts. In our case, we received full cooperation from the police who seemed sensitive towards the issue,” the father said.
However, the family was unable to come to terms with the shocking incident and got their child admitted to a separate school.
“We could not even attend our offices for a month. Our colleagues and officials supported us. It will still take a long time for the scars to lighten,” he added.

Nitika Gupta, a parent, said, “Even the top schools are not safe. I am thinking of changing my daughter’s school from the next session.”
