Biography:
Two times chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, in early 80s and 90s, Sunder Lal Patwa is presently the cabinet minister in the Vajpayee government. He was elected to the eleventh and the thirteenth Lok Sabha.
From the beginning pf his political career he was associated with the RSS (since 1942). He was imprisoned for seven months for participating in RSS movement in 1948 and was also detained under MISA during Emergency from June 1975 to January 1977. He is the recipient of the 'Vidhan Gaurav' in the All India Conference of Presiding Officers, 1989.
