Sunil Dutt Vs Vinod Khanna?

Union minister Vinod Khanna disclosed that his party had asked him to contest the Lok Sabha elections against sitting Congress MP and actor Sunil Dutt from Mumbai North-West seat, which he turned down.

Union minister and BJP candidate from Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat, Vinod Khanna, today disclosed that his party had asked him to contest the Lok Sabha elections against sitting Congress MP and actor Sunil Dutt from Mumbai North-West Parliamentary constituency, which he turned down.

"I was asked by the party leaders to contest the elections against sitting Congress MP Sunil Dutt, but I turned down the proposal," Khanna told reporters here.

The actor said he refused to contest against Dutt as a mark of respect.

"Filmstar Govinda should not have contested against Union minister and BJP leader Ram Naik as the Congress was using him", he said adding, Naik is a senior politician, who have contributed to the country which the filmstar cannot do.
