Led by BJP president Rajnath Singh — top party leaders including chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Goa — voiced the mantra of development-oriented politics for positive transformation.

In a retort to the AICC session a day earlier, Singh defended Modi and told the BJP national council that “helpless” Congress leaders including PM Manmohan Singh were using false propaganda and vote bank politics to discredit Modi.
Singh added that there was no question of doubt after the SIT gave a clean chit to Modi in its report submitted to Supreme Court in 2011 and also after the dismissal of all allegations against him by a court in Ahmedabad.
Singh also touched upon the Muzzafarpur riots, blaming the SP government in UP for its prejudice and politics to win votes.
Stress was laid on creation of opportunities for the youth, eradication of poverty, improving education and medical care, spur the lacklustre manufacturing sector and give better incentives to farmers. Singh also spoke about the need of better clarity to India’s Pakistan policy.

Fresh from their assembly wins, Shivraj Singh Chouhan of MP and Raman Singh of Chhattisgarh said their governments had shown by their performance what the BJP could do for speedy development and corruption-free governance. Goa CM Manohar Parrikar too echoed a similar tone.
Singh was confident of a good show and added, “India will regain its standing once the BJP comes to power. The Indian success story is not over. For that we need a strong and effective government.”
