Sometimes like a giant, stops the clouds and cold winds, sometimes like a saint, bringing our rain, that is mountain, writes Aman.

Sometimes like a giant,
Stops the clouds and cold winds.
Sometimes like a saint,
Bringing our rain.
That is mountain.

Sometimes snow-capped,
Sometimes long-steeped,
The highest on land,
That is mountain.

Somewhere snowy,
Somewhere narrow,
Somewhere rocky,
That is mountain.

Higher than a tower,
Longer than a whale,
Harder than the hardest,
Without any crack,
That is mountain.

Protecting us from strong winds,
Helps in bringing rain.
Long-long chains,
Is that of mountains?

Sources of brooks,
Sources of rivers,
Sources of streams,
Is that in mountains?
Red or fertile soil,
White snow or cold water,
Humus or loamy soil,
Are found on mountains.

Mountains cannot run or jump,
Even, they cannot move or talk.
They are non-living things
But do many works,
Much greater than human beings

We have to be strong,
Like a mountain.
We have to face serious problems,
As mountains faces.
Either rain comes or sun shines,
We have to learn that
'The show must go on'.

We have to save our country,
As the mountains save us.
We have to live peacefully,
As the mountain lives.
