One morning a child woke from his dream,
And rushed with his slippers to buy ice cream.

The destruction & death caused by the war,
Made him shudder like an engine of a car

The place where his commonages play,
Was boomed by the planes they say.

He thought of the glory his town carried,
And at once saw a newly couple married.

Chanting the mantras the priest made his way,
And silently in the coffin the couple lay.

The sound of bombardment was dreadful to hear,
The thought departing shed his tear.

He boarded a plane with a destiny to America,
But the plane crashed in the midway of Jamaica.

And that was the end of some precious lives,
And we come to know how progress denies.
