Raunak Singh, a native of Race Course locality in Dehradun, was hospitalised on Monday with swine-flu like symptoms at Coronation hospital where his condition deteriorated.

On Tuesday, family members decided to take Singh to AIIMS in New Delhi. However, Singh died on way to Delhi near Meerut.

Singh, who was pursuing BTech in Pune, recently returned home.

Doctors in Dehradun said it was not yet confirmed whether Singh died of swine flu. His swab samples have been sent for tests.

The swab samples of Singh's relatives have also been sent for tests as a precautionary measure.
