The solution was reached after the three leaders — union vice-president Parminder, general secretary Avnesh Kumar and organisational secretary Gulshan Kumar — tendered a written and oral apology to the Gurgaon labour department, which was mediating talks, on Friday.

Labour officer Ramesh Ahuja said, “Based on the facts of the matter and respective gravity of misconduct by the three leaders, Gulshan’s suspension has been revoked with immediate effect, while Parminder and Avnesh can join from April 2 and 9 respectively.”

Even as the suspension of the workers was revoked early Friday morning, the negotiations went on till late Thursday night. Employee unions of Maruti Suzuki's Manesar and Gurgaon plants and Suzuki Powertrain expressed satisfaction over the amicable solution.
