Addressing the media, Swamy reiterated his demand that Chidambaram resign and also shared some documents that, he alleged, proved his charge.

The Congress dismissed Swamy’s charge. Party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi, who was in Chennai, said, “If he does not get a (favourable) court order, he argues and re-argues his case and holds a trial in the media. What practice is this? Is India a kangaroo court? If he has documents, let him place them before the court.”

At the press meet, Swamy said, “Chidambaram the then finance minister and Raja met on May 29 and June 12, 2008, to decide the pricing and allocation of the 2G and 3G spectrum. An update issued by the department of economic affairs, ministry of finance, on July 4, 2008, makes it very clear that Chidambaram and Raja decided the details of pricing and allocation of spectrum.”
