Taekwondo tourney concludes

SANMATI SCHOOL, Bhavan’s, National Public School performed well at the tenth Indore district tae-kwon-do championship concluded at Nehru Stadium.

The event was organised by National Public School under the aegis of District Tae-kwon-do Sports Association. In the sub-junior lightweight bottom event, Hardik Singal of Sanmati School and Amit Soni of Agarwal Public School won gold.

In the sub-junior boys mini event, Kapil Chandani of Scholars Parodies Good Evening Club won the gold. In the sub-junior boys light middle event, Archit Singh Parmar of Bhavan won the gold.

In the sub-junior girls bottom event, Monica Sharma of Sanmati School won gold while in flyweight girls event, Himanshi Masant of Bhavan’s won the gold. In the junior beltar girls event Shipra Yadav of Agarwal Public School won the gold.
Inter-school TT tourney begins

INTER-SCHOOL TABLE tennis tournament organised by Sica Senior Secondary School under the banner of ‘Sahodaya Group’ started at their premises on Thursday.

IDA chairman Madhu Verma was the chief guest while former state champion Pramod Soni presided over the function. Seventeen CBSE schools from Indore and Dewas are taking part in the tournament. Addressing the students, Madhu Verma said that education and sports must go hand in hand as sports develop the personality and character of the students.

Earlier, school principal Manju Vyas welcomed the guest and briefed about the tournament. The guests planted saplings. R Rathore conducted the programme while sports secretary Amarnath Gupta proposed the vote of thanks.

Kasliwal trophy from today
THE 22ND inter-school Kasliwal trophy football tournament organised by Daly College would begin from Friday and it would conclude on September 4.

Director of Sports D Verma said that the 16 schools taking part in the tournament are Indore Public School, Spring Valley, Columbia Convent, Guru Harkrishan Public School, Emerald Heights International School, Vidya Sagar, Little Angles, St Paul, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Agarwal Public School, Delhi Public School, Sanmati Higher Secondary School, New Digamber
School, St Arnold School, National Public School and host Daly College.
