Tainted Rajasthan Royals cricketer Ankeet Chavan today tied the nuptial knot with fiancee Neha Sambari in a low key ceremony in Mumbai. The 27-year old, an accused in the spot-fixing scandal, married IT consultant Sambari, who was his girlfriend for eight years.

The 27-year old, an accused in the T20 spot-fixing scandal, married IT consultant Sambari, who was his girlfriend for eight years.

Left-arm spinner Chavan is currently suspended by the Cricket Board and was in the judicial custody after being arrested on the charges of spot-fixing.

He was given conditional bail by a Delhi court till June 6 for his marriage.

Rajasthan Royals players Chavan, Ajit Chandila and S Sreeshanth were arrested last month by the Delhi police for their alleged involvement in spot-fixing in T20 league matches.
