Taiwan pledges $100,000 for Philippines

Taiwan has pledged 100,000 US dollars to the Philippines for relief efforts, following the landslide in which up to 3,000 people are feared dead.

Taiwan has pledged 100,000 US dollars to the Philippines for relief efforts, following the landslide in which up to 3,000 people are feared to have died.

The Taiwan foreign ministry said "we give our concerns and condolences to the Philippines authorities and will donate 100,000 US dollars as emergency aid for the victims."

Taiwan said it would also send medical emergency kits for use by as many as 3,000 people, for a period of one and a half months.
