Senior freedom fighter and former MLA from Shirpur, Vyankatrao Tanaji Randhir died in a private hospital here after prolonged illness, family sources said.
He was suffering from liver ailments and passed away last night, they said.

He was 89. Randhir also served as the Chairperson of Boradi-based Kisan Vidya Prasarak Sanstha. Popularly known as Vyankatanna, he was admitted to the hospital on November 28.
The funeral will take place today at Boradi today, sources added.
