"I want to be seen more on screen. But, my recent break from big screen has been pretty long. I look forward to release of my films Saas Bahu aur Sensex and Rama the Saviour this year and get recognition.

"I want to be taken seriously as an actress," Tanushree, who debuted in Ashiq Banaya Aapne in 2005 after winning the Miss India title in 2004 told PTI here.

Speaking about Saas Bahu aur Sensex releasing on September 19, Tanushree said the film was an urban comedy and an overview of a modern Indian society.

"I play a girl next door character, not exactly a glamorous one. Kiron Kher is my mother in the film. I come from a broken family and have been paired opposite debutante Ankur Khanna," she said.

The film directed by Shona Urvashi is not a commercial flick. "It is a realistic film with light moments," she said.

She said her next project Rama the saviour is an action film and is slated for a November release.

Tanushree said she wanted to attempt films of all genres.

She was last seen in films like Dhol, Speed, Mr Fraud last year.
