Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted four task forces to ensure better implementation of rescue and relief operations during disasters.

These task forces will also assist the city disaster management committees already set up, an official spokesman said on Tuesday.

The newly constituted task forces have been asked to identify earthquake related hazards and take measures to mitigate risks.

They will also arrange for training of volunteers and concerned departmental functionaries as also formulate suitable policies aimed at minimising the damages and losses caused due to disasters, the spokesman said.
