Made his Test debut at 18 while still a schoolboy, and is today wicketkeeper captain of Zimbabwe. First name means 'thank-you' in his native Chishona language.

Played soccer before turning to cricket, where he began as an off spinner. Was a member of the Zimbabwe squad aged 16.

He has scored 666 runs in 16 Test matches he's played with a 22.96 average and a strike rate of 39.80. His highest individual score stands at 83.


He has played 62 one-day internationals with his highest individual score being 96 and amassing 894 runs.
