Tawanda Mupariwa

Tawanda Mupariwa made his international debut in 2004 against Sri Lanka, both in Test and one day internationals. He was controversially omitted from the Zimbabwe Under-19 team. But his outstanding performance as a bowler for Matabeleland in the Logan Cup in 2003-04 forced the national selectors to pick him up for national squad.

His timing too was right as that was the time when the 'rebel' players controversy was raging in the Zimbabwe Cricket Board. Many players withdrew from the series against Sri Lanka.

Known for his accuracy as a bowler, Mupariwa he has a good inswinger and a deceptive slower ball. His impressive bowling has resulted in his being selected for the famed CFX Academy in 2004.
