Tata Consultancy Services has retained its position as the number one software services exporter, followed by Infosys and Wipro in the Nasscom's Top 20 software exporter list.
The list does not include companies like Cognizant, Accenture, IBM and HP, which are US listed companies but have significant offshore operations in India.
These would have been placed amongst the top 10 of this list were they to be ranked, it added.
While Satyam Computer Services has been ranked fourth in the list, HCL Technologies Ltd comes fifth.
The other software companies in the list are Patni Computer Systems Ltd, I-flex Solutions Ltd, Tech Mahindra Ltd. (formerly Mahindra-British Telecom Ltd.), Perot Systems TSI (I) Ltd, L&T Infotech Ltd, Polaris Software Lab Ltd, Hexaware Technologies Ltd, Mastek Ltd, Mphasis BFL Ltd, Siemens Information Systems Ltd, Genpact, i-Gate Global Solutions Ltd, Flextronics Software Systems Ltd, (Standalone for FSS), NIIT Technologies Ltd and Covansys India Ltd.
India's software exports in 2005-06 touched the 17.3 bilion dollar mark.
Nasscom, for the sake of uniformity, did not disclose the revenue details, as some of the companies in the list are privately held.
