In a letter to the Prime Minister, Ramachandraiah slammed Washington for violating all international laws by attacking Iraq and said New Delhi should register its unequivocal protest against the conflict.

"It is our duty to advise them and to request them to immediately stop the war and allow the UN to perform its duties," said Ramachandraiah.

He said humanity had been threatened by the return to the law of the jungle where the mighty subjugated the meek.

"This is precisely what the US has demonstrated in the last few days in its complete ignorance of the appeals and requests from more than 100 countries to follow the decision of the US Security Council.

"The whole world remained mute spectators to this gross violation of international law."
