The teachers from several States including UP, Bihar and Jharkhand reached the CBSE regional office here on Monday to participate in the computer training. On reporting the visiting teachers were sent back by the CBSE authorities as the training programme had been cancelled. The teachers suffered financially as well as mentally owing to the callous attitude of the CBSE authorities.

"We arrived here to attend the training programme as per the letter dated April 5, 2006 issued by P Mani, Education Officer, CBSE Headquarters, New Delhi but were shocked to learn that the programme has been called off by the authorities. The authorities did not inform us about the decision which has made us the victims", remarked a teacher on the condition of anonymity .

"Although the CBSE's letter mentioned the programme dates as tentative and notified to inform us for any changes, but we did not receive any letter of cancellation of programme till date", he added.

The CBSE officials also declined to sign their reporting letters. As a result the teachers had to return without any proof of their visit to the regional office.
