The classes in all intermediate colleges were remained suspended and teachers gathered at Rani Laxmibai Park. They organised a meeting, and shouted slogans against state government. They condemned the silence maintained by the state government officials over the issue. They further demanded that the college sports ground illegally possessed by a minister in the state cabinet should be evacuated.

MLC Dr YD Singh condemned the attitude of the officials and said teachers’ community would not compromise on this issue. He even said that the issue would be raised in the assembly and the association would launch a massive agitation against it.

Teachers’ community leaders Rajkishor Mishra, Ram Mohan Shahi, Balwant Singh and many others blamed that the bureaucrats were persuading the harassing attitude and demanded stringent action against CDO and their colleagues.

District unit president of the association Markandey Singh said the agitation in support of the demands would continue until suspension of the CDO and demanded to lodge an FIR against him.

He appealed the teachers’ community leaders to welcome the state president of the association and MLC Omprakash Sharma who would arrive here on November 28.
