MEMBERS OF Uttar Pradesh Intermediate Teachers’ Association organised a panchayat and staged a dharna at the deputy director (Education) office to demand economic assistance to unaided schools.

They also demanded fulfillment of formalities for pension and GPF.
Expressing his views on this occasion, former MLC Ravindra Nath Mishra, severely criticised deputy director Amarnath Verma and deputy inspector of school Ramagya Kumar for being absent from their offices despite the notice for dharna. They said the teachers’ community would hand over a memorandum to the divisional commissioner in this regard.
Mishra also condemned the arbitrary promotion of teachers ignoring norms and flayed the Educational officials for violating the norms in promotion process.
They said the teachers would organise an indefinite dharna at the JDA office to expose the irregularities and corruption prevailing in the Education department.
Teachers’ leaders Rajkishor Mishra, Ram Mohan Shahi, Ramji Singh, Markandey Singh, Ram Lagan Dubey and others accused the deputy director for not giving pension and GPF to the retired teachers.
