THE TEMPORARY college teachers, who have been agitating under the aegis of the MP Asthayi Pradhyapak Sangh for the past two months, have decided to form a human chain on April 16 to draw the attention of authorities to their problems.
The association urged the intellectuals and other aware citizens to support its cause and participate in the formation of the human chain.
The temporary teachers have been agitating from mid-February, staged dharna, held rally and tried to meet authorities to discuss their problems, but there no has been no positive response from the authorities, the association claimed.
Eight association members, who were on fast unto death agitation, have been forcefully admitted to hospital by the administration. However Dr Narendra Tiwari of Tikamgarh is still continuing with fast unto death agitationThe major demand include a regular selection process as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) to make their service permanent and till that time their service be continued as per fixed duration and pay scales.
Such arrangements have been made for the medical and technical colleges in the State.The association said it is these educated youth who are keeping the higher education system going but the authorities have always exploited them.
