The national selection committee, headed by Kiran More, would pick the team for the third and fourth Tests to be held in Nagpur (October 26-30) and Mumbai (November 3-7).

The selectors might make a couple of changes in the squad that was picked for the first Two Tests.

Wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel is likely to come under the scanner with the Baroda player having spilled a number of chances behind the stumps although he has done well with the bat in both the Tests.

Sachin Tendulkar, who missed the first two Tests because of an elbow injury, is also likely to play in the third Test as he has said that his condition has improved considerably.

India are trailing the series 0-1 having lost the first Test in Bangalore by 217 runs.
