The renowned Pandvani artiste has also refused to campaign for any party, including NCP and Congress, both of which had approached her for campaigning. She, however, was ready to perform Pandvani from any stage, political or otherwise to entertain the crowds.

"We are artiste and not politicians. Anyone who is willing to pay Rs 10,000 for one programme of Pandavani can contact us," she said.

However, she has refused the Congress offer to perform three programmes in a day on health grounds. "But I can do one or two cultural programmes per day from their platform before or after their political rallies, if they pay me well," she told Hindustan Times.

"The Nationalist Congress Party had offered me ticket from Bhilai. But I am not prepared to join any political outfit," she said.

Teejan Bai and her troupe have recently come back after a hectic a 15-day trip to France, Mauritius and Romania.
