Apropos of the disclosure of assets worth Rs 52 crore by UP Chief Minister Mayawati while filing her nomination, it is heartening that our politicians now have to compulsorily declare their wealth. But the public also has the right to know the source and manner in which such assets were accumulated. Many party leaders seem to have acquired huge properties only after entering politics.
