AN UPPER air circulation system concentrated over North Eastern Madhya Pradesh has impacted the weather, bringing down temperatures by a degree and more across the State and forcing the heat wave that was blowing over the State during the last six days to subside.
The upper air circulation system is expected to bring thundershowers to districts of Rewa and Sagar divisions during the next 24 hours, director of the Regional Meteorological Centre Dr D P Dubey said.
Under the influence of the air circulation system, some parts of Central Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal will also witness some clouding and some thundershower activities during the evening hours, the director said.
On Thursday, clouding was noticed over central and North Eastern Madhya Pradesh and this brought down the day temperatures almost all across the State. The Capital recorded a maximum of 42.4 degrees Celsius, which though a degree above normal of the season was somewhat lower than the temperatures ranging between 43-44 degrees during the last few days.
In other parts of State, Gwalior remained the hottest, recording a maximum day temperature of 43 degrees. During the last few days, the maximum temperature in the State reached as high as 46-47 degrees and, thus, the lowering of temperatures are somewhat of a relief. Indore recorded a maximum of 41.7 and Jabalpur 42.8 degrees.

{{/usCountry}}In the City, while the early hours remained as hot as ever, scattered and sometimes dense clouds towards late afternoon and evening blunted the scorching sun somewhat. However, the weather became somewhat humid and stuffy owing to the clouding and hardly brought any comfort to citizens.
Dr Dubey said while maximum moisture was being pulled in by the upper air circulation over North Eastern part of the State, the passing moisture over the Central parts would lead to development of some vertical clouds here. These clouds might not bring much rain, but some thunderstorm activities are expected towards evening or night.
