Sensation gripped the religious city of Vrindavan after the dead body of Satish Goswami ,a ‘Sevayat’ (pujari) at the world renowned Bankey Behari Temple, was found in a house on Sunday morning. The face of the deceased religious man, identified as Satish Goswami, was badly crushed and a broad edged iron piece (musli) was found lying in the premises on Sunday morning.
Police has taken three in custody to unveil facts related with the case as no exact reason has been yet assigned to the mysterious killing. Forensic team has been called on spot to collect the pieces of evidence available. Body fluids including the sample of semen on cloth of man killed are being collected by the expert team.
The incident occurred on Saturday night at ‘Tulsayan Bhawan’ a house owned by an industrialist, Radhey Shyam Tulsayan. The property is located near the road leading to ISKCON temple under Raman Reti police outpost of Vrindavan police station. The deceased was residing in the house as care taker, a practice common in the religious city.
Satish Goswami belonged to an influential ‘Goswami’ community in the twin cities of Mathura and Vrindavan and was designated as one amongst the many ‘sevayat’ or pujari made incharge of rituals at the Bankey Behari Temple in Vrindavan.
The staff deployed at the house premises confirmed that Satish Goswami had been to the house on Saturday evening and was accompanied by two others said to be from Punhana city in Haryana. Food was served to them and they went to sleep in the same room.
One of the staff of the house, on Sunday morning, was shocked to find the dead body of Satish Goswami lying in a pool of blood with head injury and cut in wrist. On being searched, the two from Haryana accompanying Goswami were found missing. Police was informed as news spread in the area.

"We are investigating the case with report lodged at Vrindavan police station. There were two who accompanied the deceased and stayed overnight but are missing on Sunday," informed SSP Mathura, Bhanu Bhaskar who added that Satish Goswami had not been linked with Bankey Behari Temple of late.
"Exact reasons are yet to be assigned to the killing. Forensic team has been called on spot to collect the evidence available. The Forensic team has collected body fluid of deceased and his clothes are also being taken for forensic tests," added SSP Mathura while talking to Hindustan Times.
Three including two of the servants and one driver has been taken in custody and are being interrogated by police. Rumours ruled the city as no specific reason behind the killing surfaced all through the day.
