The prosecution has told a Delhi court that Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HuJI) militants, accused of hatching a conspiracy to kidnap cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, used to get orders from their Pakistan-based handlers.
Referring to contents of various e-mails, public prosecutor Anita Hooda said all the accused were in constant touch with each other through the internet.
"The accused used to get operational orders from their masters in Pakistan," the prosecutor told Additional Sessions Judge Pinki.
Reading out contents of the e-mails, the prosecutor said that the accused were asked to kidnap some high-profile persons for ransom to solve their financial woes.
The accused used code words in their communication to avoid detection, she had said, adding words such as 'sasural' and 'dulhan' were used for jail and hostage respectively.
Earlier, the prosecutor had alleged the six HuJI militants, including three Pakistani nationals, had led police personnel to a place at Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh from where arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered.
The three Pakistan-based militants had allegedly confessed that they conspired to kidnap the cricketers for securing the release of two jailed HuJI terrorists Nasarullah Langrial and Abdul Rahim who were then lodged in Indian jails, she said.
