Against the backdrop of the assassination of former Pakistan premier Benazir Bhutto, the BJP on Friday asked the international community to sit up and take note of terrorism and fight it honestly.

"The Indian subcontinent is in the grip of terrorism and I appeal to all world leaders to seriously think about it and work honestly to fight terror," BJP President Rajnath Singh said.
He described Bhutto's assassination as "dastardly" and "shocking" and expressed his condolences.
JD(U) President Sharad Yadav described Bhutto as a "charismatic and outstanding" leader and said her contribution in promoting Indo-Pak ties would be long remembered.
Pratyush Nandan, President of JD(U) student's wing also condemned Bhutto's assassination.
