The Intelligence Bureau (IB) had issued a lookout notice against Kabeer Koyambathudi three months back for his alleged links to those involved last year’s Bangalore blast and the one in Kozhikode in March 2006.

Koyambathudi, who hails from northern district of Wayanad, is close to Thatayindavida Naseer, elusive “mastermind” of terror activities in the South, say police.

Koyambathudi had boarded the Kuwait-bound flight when the aircraft was called back from the runway. Officials are investigating how Koyambathudi managed to get past emigration and security checks.
