According to the police, the terrorists descended onto Hilltak village in the district's Darhal area, about 175 km north of Jammu, in the wee hours on Sunday and slit the throats of Mohammad Shafi, 40, and his neighbour Mohammad Nawaz, 20.

This is the second incident of such slaughter in the past three days. Terrorist had slit the throat of a young woman Sakina Bee of the same district on Thursday.

No group has claimed responsibility for the killings so far.

Shafi and Nawaz had helped the state police in killing two Lashker-e-Taiba terrorists, including Ansar Pathan on July 3.

The police suspect revenge to be the main motive behind these brutal killings.
