With the Indians desperately seeking revenge for the humiliating defeat in the two-Test cricket series against New Zealand last year, Kiwi skipper Stephen Fleming on Monday said the forthcoming Test series against India could be one of the "hardest tours" for his team.
"It could be one of the hardest tours that our team has taken. It's going to be a great challenge, especially after what happened to India in New Zealand," he told reporters after unveiling the Videocon Trophy for the Test Series along with Indian captain Saurav Ganguly here.
Fleming said, his boys had relished the experience (playing in India) so far but "the tri-series after two Test matches could be a different story"
The skipper said his team is looking forward to an exciting tri-series, involving Australia as the third team, starting later this month.
Meanwhile, Ganguly said the two Tests would be a good learning experience for India's two new fast bowlers.
Asked whether India will miss the services of experienced speedsters like Javagal Srinath and Ashish Nehra, Ganguly said: "We can't help it... (the absence of Javagal Srinath and Ashish Nehra). But the series will be a good experience for two talented debutant fast bowlers Laxmipathi Balaji and Avishkar Salvi."
