Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray (83) was shifted out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Lilavati Hospital, following an improvement of his health.

Doctors at the hospital said Thackeray’s condition has now improved and he is likely to be discharged on Tuesday.

“He is responding well to treatment and hence the decision was taken,” said a doctor, requesting anonymity.
The Sena chief was admitted to hospital on Thursday night following complaints of breathlessness.
He has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It refers to a lung ailment in which the airways get narrowed.He also suffers from Ischemic Heart Disease.
