In a press statement issued here on Wednesday, Thakur said the five-month tenure of the Congress government in the state has proved to be a total failure adding that all the development activities had come to a standstill in the state after the Congress came to rule in the state.

He rued that on the one hand, the Congress claimed to be the custodian of poor and on the other hand, it was dispossessing rehri and fari wallas in the district.

He said the previous BJP government in the state had cancelled the Himalayan Ski village project, but the present Congress government had withdrawn the petition from the high court that was filed by the state government against the Himalayan Ski village.

He said Thakur was a strong candidate and would win with a huge margin. He alleged that the defeat of Congress nominee Pratibha Singh was certain as she had no role and contribution in the betterment of the remote and far-flung areas of Mandi constituency.
