A 19-year-old physically challenged woman was allegedly gang-raped by three men in the powerloom town of Bhiwandi in Thane district of Maharashtra.

A 19-year-old physically challenged woman was allegedly gang-raped by three men in the powerloom town of Bhiwandi in Thane district of Maharashtra.

All the three accused were arrested on Monday, the police said.

The trio allegedly abducted the woman about six weeks ago and took her to an isolated place in a tempo near Anjur Phata where they took turns to rape her, Narpoli police station sub-inspector DV Jangle said. The woman registered a complaint on Sunday.

The three accused, in the age group of 27-35 years, were booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. They would be produced in a court for remand on Monday.
