A lot is being written about Feng Shui, but few actually know how to evaluate this Chinese science. Feng Shui literally means wind and water. It is a body of knowledge possessed by the Chinese about how the environment affects the well being of mankind. They believe that in our environment exist landscapes, mountains and water as well as different kinds of energies.

While some energies have a good impact on our life, there are others that may bring us misfortune. As such, if we place ourselves in a good location, we receive all the good energies and our prosperity and health gets enhanced.

On the other hand, if we place ourselves under the influence of bad energies, then it will increase our chances of encountering misfortune. This is also called the 'art of placement', as the science guides us in how to place objects appropriately in an environment to bring out the best of it.

The following are some practical applications of this knowledge:

# Selecting a prosperous site for building a house.
# Selecting the best orientation for building a house to achieve the maximum prosperity.
# Selecting the best unit within a house.
# Interior design for allocation of various functions — such as bedroom, living room, conference room, cash counter, entrance, office etc.
# Placement of furniture.
# Selection of appropriate rooms for different members of the company or the family.
# Selection of the appropriate colour as well as decorative objects for each location.
# Continuous maintenance to ensure long term prosperity.
# As a tool for forecasting cyclical changes in prosperity.

# A detailed sketch of the building showing its main entrance.
# The approximate year of completion of the construction of the building.
# A floor plan of the apartment or unit within the building, showing the rough directions.
# The accurate measurement of the direction of the building's façade.

Only then will the analyst be able to help you achieve greater heights in prosperity.
