A webber argues, Antulay pointed out that Karkare's murder does not fit into the story or the purpose of the attackers. So, somebody (aparently someone related to Malegaon case accused) has taken this oppourtunity to kill him while the terrorists indeed had terrorised the city. He did not deny that the attackers came from Pakistan. Neither did he pointed that the “whole incident” as an “inside job”, but he claims the killing of Mr Karkare was forcibly fitted into the same script.

"By making such unsubstantiated charges Antulay is actually helping Pakistan to wash off their hands from the Mumbai massacre," a surfer said on facebook.

SS Ahluwalia said the minister (Antulay) was playing to the Pakistani tune. "The vitriolic Pakistan media is celebrating the minister's comments," he said.

In an opinion poll by Siasat, the English-language website of India's second largest Urdu newspaper, asked 'Do you think Antulay was right in his remarks over Karkare's death?' 90% of the respondents said yes.
