Before anyone could take notice of this, Rahul Dravid has established himself as the number one batsman in the matches won by India.

After the Kingston Test, Dravid’s run-aggregate in matches won by India reads as 3464 in 33 matches. By an odd coincidence master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has scored exactly the same number of runs but he did so taking eight Tests and nine innings more.

Dravid’s performance in the overseas victories is even more exemplary. He has appeared in most overseas victories for India, aggregated more runs and has scored more fifty-plus scores than any other player.
