Theatre workshop to be held from May 25

Summer vacations herald the days to engage in multiple activities for children. Starting from theatres to painting, sports, music etc, not even a single activity is left untouched by various organisations in the city to attract children. With the similar objective in mind, city's cultural hub, North Central Zone Cultural Centre is all geared up to provide the required guidance to the interested lots in their particular field of interest.

With the similar objective in mind, city's cultural hub, North Central Zone Cultural Centre is all geared up to provide the required guidance to the interested lots in their particular field of interest.

Starting from May 25, the workshops conducted by the centre will be in two phases. "We will conduct the theatre workshop from May 25 to June 8 in which children will get to learn the details of mime, folk theatre (nautanki), modern theatre and folk dance. We will take special care to see that the children learn under the renowned artistes. Thus we have invited those famous for their skills for quite some time," said Atul Dwivedi, programme officer.

Likewise the second phase will start from June 5 to June 15.
"The second phase will be meant for those who want to learn painting, folk painting, Pichhawai style of painting, Sanjhi painting, musical instrument dholak, patriotic songs, paper cutting and film animation. The timings for both the phases will be from 7 am to 10 am," said Dwivedi.

"Cultural centre has always been ahead of others in contributing towards the enrichment of Indian art and summer workshops are the medium to propagate it among the young generation," he added.
