The case of theft against the 6 year old Dalit girl Komal, who was brutally beaten up by the Jaswantnagar police last Monday, has been cancelled and the woman who had made allegations against her has been booked for filing a false complaint. The case of theft against Komal was found to be incorrect in investigations and has, therefore, been scrapped, police sources said.

Komal was thrashed by two policemen while four others watched after she was taken to the police station by one Anju Katheria, alleging that the child had stolen Rs 280 from her wallet at a market in Jaswantnagar area.
