I’m in Goa these days, and the heat here would make Delhi’s summers seem like a cool winter breeze. Weather is not the only thing that’s got the mercury soaring, though. I’m currently shooting for a reality show called

MTV Force India The Fast & The Gorgeous

, which I’m hosting. It’s got 20 gorgeous girls competing to be the face of the Force India Formula 1 team, travel with them throughout the 2009 Grand Prix and even feature on the Force India calendar (If that’s not a dream job, I don’t know what is!).

The experience has made me realise how reality shows have become more than just about entertainment and are a career option for youngsters who have it in them to prove they are better than the rest.

I’ve always been an F1 fan and it’s a great feeling to see India make waves in a sport that has the most viewership across the world. What interests me about F1, or even Moto GP for that matter, is that it’s not just about senseless speed but a whole lot more — from the strategic pit stops to the sharp corners that can put anyone’s driving skills to test.

With India on the sporting map like never before, the choices before today’s youth are endless. So many of my friends from the army have taken up golf as a serious sport and are doing really well. The Olympics proved that India is a force to reckon with in the boxing ring, as well as on the shooting range.
