This year Shilpa Shetty marks the season of big fat wedding, tying the knot with her businessman boyfriend Raj Kundra. Well! You may not be upbeat about what all gifts she would receive, but you can for sure tab the trend when it comes to gifting your dear ones on his/her D-day.

A dash of style
Vikash Gupta, Three Sixty Degree, says, “The trend has definitely changed when it comes to gifting newly-weds. People no longer want to gift conventional beds, dressing tables and trunks to the newly weds. And if they think it’s customary to go for furniture items, they make sure they are modified and improvised to give a contemporary look.” He says, “Items like vases, leather trunks, bar, wine holders, bronze or silver picture frames are replacing the standard gifts. But won’t they be too cheap to be given as a wedding gift? “The price may vary from Rs 500 to Rs 50000 and more, depends on what the persons buys,” he says. Amrita Panjwani, Good Earth, says, “People now go for contemporary and unique looking products.”
