Three people were arrested in a raid conducted by police at a house in Mohalla Shukarpura in Rewari on Wednesday night for allegedly placing bets on the ongoing Twenty20 matches of the IPL.

Police seized a lap top, seven mobile phones, one TV set, a register, containing particulars of alleged clients and Rs 1,100 from them. The police have registered a case under various sections of the Prevention of Gambling Act against the three accused identified as Dev Raj, Lal Chand and Mukesh.
They were on Thursday produced in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate who granted them bail.
