Cases have been registered against three persons, including a Pakistan national, on espionage charges, a senior police official said on Thursday.

Cases have been registered under the Official Secrets Act against Pakistan national Makhanu Ram and two others for passing on information and photographs to the ISI authorities in the neighbouring country, Superintendent of Police (Sirsa) Sultan Singh said.
The two others booked are Harcharan Singh, a Pakistani Hindu settled at Ellenabad in the district, and Alu Ram. Police parties have been sent in search of the three, the SP said.
Singh said Makhanu Ram had come to India on May 25, this year and his visa was for visiting Ellenabad and Jaipur in Rajasthan.
Sources said Makhanu Ram had with the help of Harcharan Singh and Alu Ram collected information and photographs about important installations, including of the Air Force, and sent the same to Pakistan.
The police official said Makhanu Ram was reported to have visited some other places besides Ellenabad and Jaipur, which he could have visited officially since he had visa for these two places.
Singh said Makhanu Ram had secured the visa for visiting Ellenabad to meet Harcharan Singh, who was related to him. The Pakistan national had been regularly reporting to the local police for verification as required under the rules, he said.
