Three persons drowned in Manginapudi beach nere Machilipatnam in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh on Friday, police said.
The victims were part of a 15-member religious group which had come here from Hyderabad for a `Bhagavadgita' programme. After end of the programme, six of them went to the beach for a dip and three of them were washed away, they said.

The deceased were identified as Devender (33), A Sriramulu (28) and A Babu (26). Their bodies were sent for post-mortem, police added.
